Trigger Finger
Trigger finger (or thumb!) is a condition affecting the tendons that bend (flex) the fingers. These tendons can become swollen or thickened meaning they are unable to travel smoothly within the tendon sheath causing the finger to catch. In more severe cases the finger can lock in this position which is painful and distressing.
