FAQs
All your questions, answered!
If you can, wear something you are comfortable in or bring something to change into. Your physio will need to assess the painful or injured area so please make sure this can be made accessible. If you are attending for exercise (e.g. strength & conditioning or studio rehab) comfortable gym clothing is ideal. You can change at the practice but it saves time to come prepared!
You are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to your treatment.
Usually no – you can just book in, come for treatment and get better! However, if you have health insurance with Westfield or any other private health insurer (e.g. Bupa, Axa PPP, Aviva, etc) you will need a referral from your GP before your treatment can be authorised. It is best if you contact your insurer before making an appointment so you can be sure of their policy.
If you need to rearrange or cancel your appointment – that’s fine. We just ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hrs notice of any changes to your appointment so that we can re-allocate the appointment. Less than 24 hours notice may result in a charge.
If you are paying for treatment yourself or claiming the cost of your treatment back from your health insurer (i.e. Westfield Health or HSA), we ask for payment to be made on arrival to improve your experience and the efficiency of your appointment
Many private health insurance companies will settle the cost of treatment directly with the clinic. You will need to provide us with your policy and authorisation numbers and we’ll sort the rest out with your insurer.
Initial (assessment and treatment) consultation £75 and follow up sessions £60. Specialist services such as injections, Shockwave Therapy, etc. are priced separately. Reduced rates are available for students – please call us for more information.
Yes – we offer 15% student discount on presentation of a valid NUS/TOTUM card only. This discount can only be accessed with in-person and telephone bookings and cannot be applied to online or pre-existing bookings. Student discount cannot be applied to insurance-funded appointments or specialist services and packages.
We would really appreciate it if you tried to time your arrival no earlier than 10 mins before your appointment if possible as this reduces congestion in the reception area and car park.
Please use our front car park where you will find 7 marked parking bays available for your use. We have increased the size of these bays for your convenience and comfort. Whilst incidences are extremely rare, vehicles and their contents are left at the owners risk. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.
Our disabled parking bay is at the rear of the building and is the space nearest the entrance of the car park as this is the widest space and easiest to manoeuvre in and out. You can also access the building from the rear door thereby avoiding step access.
If you have mobility problems you can access the practice very easily as we have ground floor consulting rooms within a few metres of our entrance with wheelchair access (please note that disabled parking and level access to the building is at the rear). If you would like to be seen in a ground floor consulting room please advise the receptionist when you make your appointment.
Yes, we are recognised by all private health insurers. If you need any of our physiotherapists’ HCPC (Health and Care Profession Council) numbers or our BUPA clinic number please call us and we will happily give you this information.
